house rules

LIVING LIKE IN A SECOND HOME

Dear Guests,

Our holiday apartment/house should feel like a second home to you. We want you to feel comfortable and relaxed. We have put a lot of effort into furnishing it and hope you find everything you need. The following house rules should help ensure a harmonious stay. Additionally, we have listed some rules which we hope you understand. By treating the apartment properly, you help us continue to offer satisfactory accommodations to you and other guests in the future.

General

If you find anything missing from the apartment or need help, please contact us. All items in the apartment/house, on the balcony, or terrace are there for you to use. Please handle the entire property and inventory with care. Ensure that your fellow travelers also adhere to the rental conditions.

Kitchen

Please handle the kitchen appliances and equipment with care. Since a dirty kitchen is unpleasant, please put dishes, pots, and cutlery back into the cabinets only when they are clean and dry. Do not place hot pots and other hot objects on tables or countertops without a trivet. Always use a cutting board when chopping. Please leave the oven and microwave interiors clean.

Damages

Nobody intentionally damages things, but accidents happen. We would appreciate it if you inform us of any damage so that we do not discover it during the final cleaning. The tenant is liable for damages up to the replacement cost.

Ventilation

To prevent mold, please ventilate the rooms adequately, with at least one air exchange per day for 5-10 minutes, especially after showering.

Duty of Care

We ask our guests to treat the rental property with care and ensure that fellow travelers and relatives comply with the rental conditions. The front door should always be closed and locked when leaving the house. Also, close all windows when leaving to prevent potential damage from weather or burglary. Use water and electricity sparingly.

Waste Disposal

Waste is separated into residual waste, glass, paper, and packaging with the green dot. Appropriate containers are available on the property. Please use garbage bags for waste and cosmetic bins in the bathroom and dispose of them in the residual waste bin. Do not throw or pour waste, food scraps, harmful liquids, or similar into the kitchen sink, toilets, washbasins, or showers. Avoid anything that could clog the pipes (no hygiene products in the toilet).

Cleaning

If you make a mess (extreme dirt, liquids on the floor or work surfaces, etc.), please clean it up immediately. We ask that you leave the apartment broom-clean upon departure and put all used dishes back in the cabinets.

Quiet Hours

In the interest of good neighborliness, please observe the public quiet hours: midday, night, and Sunday rest periods. Inside the apartment, please keep noise to a minimum between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM. Parties are not allowed.

Internet/Wi-Fi

The apartment/house has a wireless internet connection (Wi-Fi). Please ask us for the access code. The use of the internet with your own Wi-Fi-enabled device (notebook, PDA, smartphone, etc.) via the Wi-Fi connection is free of charge for the tenant. You use the internet at your own risk; the landlord excludes any liability in connection with the tenant’s internet use. The Wi-Fi usage rules must also be observed.

Smoking

Smoking is not allowed in the apartment/house. Please leave the apartment/house to smoke.

Pets

Bringing pets is allowed after consultation with the landlords.

Parking

You can park directly in front of the apartment/house; additional public parking spaces are nearby. Providing a parking space does not establish a custody contract. The landlord is not liable for any loss or damage to vehicles parked or maneuvered on the property, except in cases of intent or gross negligence.

Household Rights

In case of immediate necessary repairs, the landlord may need to enter the apartment without the guest’s knowledge.

Keys

Never hand over the keys to others. Report lost keys immediately; the guest is liable for the replacement costs.

Liability

The landlord is not liable for the guest’s valuables.

Arrival and Departure

Arrival is by arrangement. On the day of departure, we ask our guests to vacate the apartment/house by no later than [insert time] AM/PM. The apartment/house should look as it did when you arrived.

By booking the apartment, we assume that the house rules are acknowledged. Thank you for your attention.

We wish you a pleasant stay, lots of fun, relaxation, and recreation. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Your hosts,

Uwe and Isabelle Breidenbach
